Internet connectivity
Yes, the internet connection is reliable. Cable service averages 35-40Mbit/s downstream. With full mesh WiFi on entire property, you can have seamless HD video conferences, even on your balcony or pool deck. I’m the guest house owner and a former networking engineer, monitoring network outages in real time (which are rare). In addition we have a line of sight to a nearby LTE antenna. That means you have another reliable backup service for your mobile device which can support HD video calls. Local SIM prepaid cards with data plans are available in the village.

Ocean View Apartments
The apartments are equipped with basic kitchens and bathrooms. All apartments have their own private balcony with spectacular ocean views. Spacious beds have mosquito nets and a fan. 2 apartments have an optional A/C. Bed linen and towels are provided. Laundry service can be arranged.
We have up to 3 separate apartments available with a total of 4 beds. You can share the queen size bed and the apartment with a second person. Or our 2 bedroom apartment can be shared by up to four.

St. Lucia
is a Caribbean volcanic island, about 617qm (238 sq mi) large with about 180.000 people. Official language is English. It has a stable democracy. The climate is tropical. In winter the highs are around 30 Celsius (86 F) and lows are about 23 Celsius (73 F). The surrounding ocean is warm and the landmarks are it’s 2 volcanic Pitons.
Entry regulations
No visa regulations to enter from most countries (e.g. USA & Canada, UK, European Union, etc.). Standard visiting permission granted from those countries are 3 months. Since mid 2021 St. Lucia offers a 1 year visa you can apply for online. Check the St. Lucia “live it” program. To extend your visa once on island, you can always purchase extensions if you decide to stay longer.
Timezone
St. Lucia is at UTC-4. Currently one hour ahead of the US East Coast Timezone (New York) and 4 hours behind Greenwich UTC (London). Perfect to work with the US and/or Europe.
Getting here
St. Lucia has 2 airports. UVF in the south has international arrivals from several US cities such as Miami, Atlanta, JFK. There are also direct connections from London and Toronto. The smaller airport SLU in the north connects to other Caribbean destinations.
Activities
Island life happens outdoors. Countless activities include water-sports like Kitesurfing, Scuba diving or snorkelling, hiking, horseback riding, beaches and much more. Gros Islet and Rodney Bay have the most dense area of bars and restaurants on island. Check our things-to-do page
Covid-19 situation
We are Covid-19 certified for fully vaccinated guests. If you travel with your family, only adults need to be vaccinated to stay with us. Unvaccinated adults need to undergo a 14 day quarantine. After clearing it, you can also stay with us. Currently St. Lucia requires visitors from most countries to present a Covid test. More information on current requirements here.
Each apartment has its own separate outdoor access. Contactless and keyless check in. Sanitisers provided in each apartments. We follow all cleaning protocols. Pool serviced and logged according to protocol. Shared pool deck has enough space for distancing,… we are a safe place!
